Question Web services and ODBC

Hi guys

looking for a little info here

I am used to linking Access to non access systems through the ODBC method but I am now presented with a system that does not require ODBC to connect to as it uses web services to communicate


Anyone got any experience with this type as I have no idea what to ask for when i contact out IT dept for information


All i want to do is create a few reports either using Crystal reports or even use Access database as a front end to run my own custom reports.


I thought all i needed where the data souce details but maybe i need to understand a little more before asking.

You need IIS to be running and a connection to be made in a global.asa file or net.config file. The Driver can be just OLE.
