Hello,

I am reading the following code and don't know what the '#' character is for. Any help would be great.

stSQLArchive = "INSERT INTO [Transaction Archive] " & _
"SELECT Transactions.* FROM Transactions " & _
"WHERE ((Transactions.Date)<= #" & dtmCutOff & "# " & _
"AND (Transactions.Posted)=True);"

The hash symbol (#) goes on either side of a date to let the system know that a date is to be evaluated.
