What kind of sports are you into?

I bicycle almost every day (work days). I swim as much as I can in the summer. I would like to play softball again, but I do not run as well as I once did (knees hurt a lot).

I ride unicycles a few times a week. Mostly on a 29 inch wheel. Did my first mountain unicycle (Muni) ride last weekend.

Honestly, uni isn't just for circus performers. Learning just takes persistence. It took me about two weeks of daily practice to learn to ride across my front yard and I was soon doing several kilometres per ride.

I lost a few kilograms of fat very quickly and replaced a few kilograms more with muscle.

Unicycling is unparalleled for building fitness. My resting heart rate is so low that it freaked out my doctor but the heart specialist he sent me to was very impressed with my cardio tests. This experience is not unusual for unicyclists.

I had knee problems and back problems before I took up uni. I know of another rider who was wearing a knee brace until he started riding. It is also great for balance, coordination and core strength.

Riding is also a form of meditation because it requires considerable focus.

Yoga. I get a lot of stress-tension headaches and a wack of other problems because of the tight muscles in my neck and shoulders. Yoga helps to keep all of that in check. It's also a good de-stresser in itself. I also like to run, but not in the winter.

Well, in New Orleans we don't always have cooperative weather, but I really enjoy taking a walk through the neighborhood. I live about three blocks from Lake Ponchartrain, and it is very restful to walk along the levee seeing boats. In the spring, summer, and early fall, you are likely to see sailboats in several sizes because we have many regattas during our pleasant-weather seasons.

Besides the restful nature of the walk, my doctor told me that I needed some form of physical exercise (to walk off a little bit of a pot belly) and I can't really disagree with him. Also, I have to say that of all the things my doctor has prescribed for me, this is the cheapest.

I love watching sports, especially basketball. But I don't like getting into sports.

Golf with a M79. Every shot is a hole in one! :-)

True, Leo, but I played it anyway until my knees went bad.

Weight lifting is my sport, 12oz at a time

Dancing is my Sport, I help teach Modern Jive through a Franchise called CEROC, if anybody is interested in learning, and it is real easy and great fun, check out CEROC on Google and you'll find their website..
