Very General Question

What version of Access do you use?

And if you use Access 97, why do you choose to use that over that of Access 2000 or higher?

I am curious to find out the reasons.

As for me, I use Access 2003 all around.

Well I have A97 and A2K installed but only use A2K for testing.

I stick to A97 mainly because I have customers still using it. It would be possible to use A2K and convert it back to A97 but I could not use any of the new features in A2K so it would defeat the purpose.

If the aim is to try and maintain one master across many different versions it seems logical to have that master in the lowest version.

A97 -> A2K -> A2K2 -> A2K3 is easier to maintain than in the reverse order.
(An added advantage is that A97 has a help file system that works. :D )

Regards,
Chris.

Hooray for the A97 help file. Long may it live. When you upgrade, just copy the old help file to a safe place so you can open it directly.

I use A2003. I hated A2K so I stuck with A97 until A2002. I switched to A2003 because it comes with the Action Pack and decided I liked it enough to stay with it.

The A97 help file should be bottled with no use by date. :D

I have all 4 (97, 2K, XP & 2003) versions of Office on my home PC, I generally use 2003 though.
