Hello,
I saw a thread on this once, but wasn't sure if it hit every point.
When does a query bound to a form officially become UNupdateable?
I have a query that was updateable (I could change the value in a text control on the form, say FIRST NAME, and results would save to the database). I have added some LEFT JOINS to my query, and now Access has "locked" the very same field (I can no longer edit the FIRST NAME).
I think I can come up with a workaround to my problem, but for curiosity's sake, what are the exact criteria when a bound query becomes UNupdateable? The thread I saw stated it had to do with one-to-many relationships between tables joined in the query...not sure if I got it all though.
Any insight is appreciated!
Thanks,
Scott
