Where Clause

DoCmd.OpenForm "scoreform", acNormal, , Where, acFormAdd, acWindowNormal

When I do a Debug Print for where I get cardnumber = 1111111
The card number is a string because it might have a letter in it
don't i need it to be cardnumber = "1111111"

if so how do I get the quotes around the numbers
