Just wondering if anyone has encountered issues with the combination of Windows 7 Enterprise and Access 2010.

I have several >1gig databases holding data for me on my C: and D: (Local) drives.
For some reason unknown to me the system seems to keep scanning the databases without end resulting in a VERY high uptime on my 2 drives spinning at 100% thruoghput.

Besides the obvious wear and tear on the drives because of this it is also giving me headaches while working because when the drive is in "overdrive" scanning the databases opening any document takes "for ever" (in excess of 2 minutes for a 100kb excel workbook :banghead: )
At times even my typing is getting cached and my pc even complains that its cache is full and it takes 5 minutes for it to type out the cache.

Kind regards

your friendly neighbourhood mailman

Could this be a problem with virus software? Perhaps you have more than one installed.

This is a company pc and software, have no doubt that things like virus software and things alike should be well taken care off.
