Hello there,

I use access 2000 but also have access 2003 installed on my computer. Access 2000 is my default version and is usually what I use 90% of the time (for various reasons).

Anyways, every time I launch 2000 (without going into 20003 at all) it ALWAYS brings up windows installer. Is there a way to fix this or must I live with it since I have 2 versions installed?

Thanks!

If you have more than one version of Microsoft Office on your computer this will happen every time you switch versions.

I have the same problem with different versions of Access.

Bill's software works this way. If there is a way around it, I don't know what it is.

I don't have this issue, but I don't use multiple versions of Access on the same computer. With that logic, perhaps if you partition your hard drive and install them on separate partitions? I really don't know if that would work, but it has to be a registry entry somewhere where each version is recognizing that they aren't the same and therefore they are going down an install procedure path.

With that said, you may also want to look here.
