In this case which one is the name of the individual tab / sheet . I am assuming Access to Excel.xls is the name of the workbook ?

Was doing something wrong . Seems to be working now.

Name of the main form is Agenda Name of the subform container is Child54 Name of autoform that it contains is Absence_Transaction . Control on Absence_Transaction is Name(combo box)

Also this is what I have. =DLookUp("[ID]","[First and Last Name Combined]","[Composite]='" & [Forms]![Child54].[Absence_Transaction].[Name] & "'")

My issue is this - works on subform in isolation ..meaning on its own. Does not work when I use the subform in the main form. Any ideas ?

I think I have the opposite of this problem . When I open the main form the dlookup on the subform does not work. Any ideas how I can fix that ? Moses
