Form fields loose value (1 Viewer)

I used Access to populate form fields in a template to create a new .docx file. When I view the document, the fields are filled but values disappear when I print or create a PDF. I didn't change any default settings. Office 2010/Win 7. What am I missing?

I found the culprit. Something set the "update fields before printing" to true and that caused all the form fields to lose their values on printing which included sending to PDF. This setting applies to WORD rather than an individual document and I don't know what caused the setting to change. I was not having this issue a couple of months ago when I was testing a different application.
