Hi all,

I have a database which selects Excel files and turns them to PDF.
If I open the PDF it shows each Excel sheet as a page.
The PDF shows the document the right way up regardless of orientation (some pages look portrait and some look landscape).
Even though the sheets look as Id expect (orientation), when I print it is treating the landscape sheet as though they are portrait and cutting half the page out.

Is there anyway to overcome thisin VBA?

Thanks

Is the report you are printing to pdf in excel and your code to generate the pdf is being executed from Access?

If the report is in excel, perhaps you could try to manually create the pdf the way you want it to look by first turning on the macro recorder and then go through the steps of printing the report. Then you would take the relevant portion of the code and paste or edit your existing code in where you need it.

The file is .xslm and the code to transform it to .PDF is executed in Access.
Looking at the PDF its all normal the pages in portrait show as portrait and the landscape pages show as landscape. Its only when printing that the landscape pages print upright but on a portrait page (if that makes sense – im not sure how to word it better).

Thanks

Solved it – It seems that Acrobat defaults printing to portrait. I can change the setting to Auto Portrait/Landscape in the printing options.
