I'm looking for a way to log users off either instantly or when they have been inactive for 10 minutes, any help would be much appreciated.

I've found a couple of online examples but after going through the various steps (closely I think) I end up with errors. I expect there are posts here but I can't find them.

I want to be able to run backups and work on the backend even when Jo Bloggs decides to go for a tea break.

Were currently still on Access 2003.

Thanks for any help.

Hi malfiscious, I am not sure if you have looked into the Microsoft's solution to "Detect Idle Time".. It is quiet straight forward and easy to incorporate..

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I think that might do it but I'm not sure where to add the final set of code in the frmClock form?

Thank you for your answers.

I've tried them both and they work great.

In the end I went with Alansidman's suggestion because it means I can quickly boot people out and do what I need to when I'm pressed for time.

Thanks again, very helpful.
