My form has a Chart including Legend, the RowSource being a SELECT statement that grabs data from a Query.

The labels on the Legend are therefore the Field names of the source query, which are abreviated rather than flowery descriptions.

I want to be slightly more descriptive on the chart legend.
Changing the headings in the chart datasheet changes the design view of the chart, but not the form view, plus the changes don't seem to save.

Putting descriptions in the SQL builder for the RowSource is no use because they don't carry to the SQL statement.

Further ideas anyone ??

Thanks

Richard

chart legend

Open the chart properties and select RowSource. (You have already done this). Type your flowery description before the field name and follow this with a colon.
eg if the field name was SumEmpFee, you could change what appeared in the legend by changing this to Total Fees:SumEmpFee
You will be prompted to save the change when you exit. Do this and the change will appear next time you open the chart.
