This is a pretty useful poster, which I found here (2.8MB PDF).
It's formatted to be at 18x24, which can make it hard to print out and read. However, I chopped it up a little and made a little PowerPoint out of it. It's too big to post, so I put on my own site and it can be found here (900KB ZIP file).
It very clearly explains the concepts of normalization, why you do it, and it does it all with an example DB along the way. It's not big -- five slides -- but with all the people that seem to be confused about what normalization is and why it is important, I thought this may provide some insight.
