I have this formula in one of my field's control scource.

=IIf([Reports]![RptMaster]![ChkBxs]="1",[dateFiledGriev],[dateDiaryAll])

But this isn't working... I am recieveing #Error.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance :D.

A checkbox isn't equal to 1 and it certainly isn't equal to "1". You need either True or -1 (without quotes for either).

Sry for the confusion, I named a fieled "ChkBoxs". I see how this can be confusing. I could have named it something else for less confusion.

Oh, and also where is this control? Is it on the same report:
[Reports]![RptMaster]

or is that a different report you are trying to reference?

The datatype is TEXT.

Rpt master contains the field which displays 1 or 2. Inside Rpt Master there is a subreport which has a field and in this field I have my IIF statement.

AHA! that is your problem. Subforms and subreports do not use the same referencing as if they were stand alone forms.

So, use this method to get the correct syntax you need to refer to the field on the parent.
