Sorting problem

In my query I have sorted my list by "Tasks_Recieved.ID_Recieved DESC , Tasks_Recieved.ID DESC"​

When I open my query or my form sorting is ok but when I filter by any of the fields, sorting of the list changes, and it seems it will be sorted ascending by "Tasks_Recieved.ID".​

Tasks_Recieved.ID is auto number.​

Tasks_Recieved.ID_Recieved is number.


Query:​

SELECT Tasks_Recieved.ID__RecievedDate, Tasks_Recieved.ID_Recieved, Tasks_Recieved.ID, Tasks_Recieved.Sender, Tasks_Recieved.Documentcode, Tasks_Recieved.Title, Tasks_Recieved.DocumentDate​

FROM Tasks_Recieved​

ORDER BY Tasks_Recieved.ID_Recieved DESC , Tasks_Recieved.ID DESC;

When you open your Query do you see Numbers or Text, in the two fields that you mentioned.

Also get rid of the Periods in the Field Names.

i see numbers in both fields. but when filter any thing in query (filter selection) sorting will change and will be according to id (autonamber) ASC in my query.

The SQL you posted in your opening Post did not have a filter.

Could you repost with the filter and also add a snapshot or better still an Excel sheet of the results.

Sorry but at the moment I am hunting for the cause of the problem, and so far I see nothing wrong.

i added in the order by of property sheet of query "id_recieved DESC" and now it works
