One to One Relationship

@RainLover

Because school assignments are about two things: the end product but also the process of getting there. Doing an assignment for somebody deprives that person of the intended benefit of learning how to solve problems on one's own. Helping out is a different thing (but does not apply in this instance where you'd actually do the job for a third party).

I can't agree. If you follow this logic through to the end, then you should never help anyone with a school project.

Sorry Spike this really is sheep talk.

Now try to read the text again, and then you can beat yourself.

Car analogy (and since this is the internet I will use a hyperbolic example that far exceeds the gravity of the situation we are facing now):

We are good people of a town who come upon a masked man covered in blood, outside a bank with the alarm going off who has car troubles. We ask how we can help, he says he just robbed the bank and needs a jump start. What good citizen wouldn't help someone get their car started?

Spike

You guys write funny. You also talk funny.

The first two lines is not anissue because I am helping someone to learn. Using the WWW is part of that learning process. Just because you are a student makes no difference. We are all students of Access. That is why we are here. To learn and to help others learn.

Helping out is a different thing (but does not apply in this instance where you'd actually do the job for a third party).

"Helping out is a different thing (but"

Is helping out different or not.

This helping studeent thing is like a lot of things in Access Forums. Someone comes up with an idea, which is repeated. Then before long it become law. People follow like sheep.

Am I wrong again. If so please explain as it is too late for me and time to hit the sack. Use the KISS method.

PS How is the wife and kids.

Plog.

Where did you not learn English. Did you read what you typed.?

I am off like a bucket of prawns in the sun.
Back sometime tomorrow.

Yes I did. What's wrong with it? Grammar? Spelling? Man, reviewing now I still can't see the glaring error(s) you've alluded to. I should probably stick to my native tongue of gutteral grunts.

Now now lads, lets not get into fisty cuffs over this.

He's (Rainlover and others) helping me out with a question. He isn't doing the work and I am not doing the work. I am more advising what to do. No need for all the

So it is wrong of me to seek help on here for a problem and is it wrong of me to point out where someone is going wrong which I am trying to do with this coursework piece.

Don't worry about the fight. I will tie them up so badly they will wish they never started.

Besides, we are all having fun.

Keep posting your current problem because I want to know the answer myself.

I am not sure it is proper to tell you.

If you go away and learn you will be the better person for it.

What good citizen wouldn't help someone get their car started?

In this sentence you use the word their. their is a pronoun. So it means some person. But who? The way you used it it can only come from the "subject"

Thus we have

What good citizen wouldn't help someone get a good citizen's car started?

This is just one sentence. Overall I do not understand the hidden meaning of the story.

Wow, that takes the passisive aggressive, pedantic cake.
