Is it possible to requery mainform and NOT it's subform?

I ask as I have a query which shows all "False" records based on a checkbox.

On updating a record via the subform checkbox, I need to requery the mainform to keep the SUM function ticking over nicely (Or it's always one record behind)

But, on using the requery for the main form, the subform record that controls the SUM function disappears rendering what I need to do impractical.

Is this possible. Searching the Forms part of the forum showed nothing out of 499 posts.

If it is possible, what's the work around?

You can refer to the Main form as a Parent.
Example:
HTH
Or you can refer the top form with its full name
MainForm.Form!SomeControl.Requery

Sometimes, it's the simplest of things you're looking at, but never see!

Thanks guys. Both do good!!

glad we could help :)

Merry Christmas :)
