Never again. usually I book hotels thru Booking.com, or directed. booking.com has been resendable efficient. They did not have anything available so I tried Expedia. I book the right day, but the wrong month. Could not get through either phone, text or email. They bounce you around from one site to another. I guess they make there money from naive people like me. I have learned however, that what goes around, comes around, they will get theirs without my help.

Sorry for your bad experience. I usually use Priceline or Expedia or hotels.com

Having talked to the folks at hotels / motels, I always contact the place I'm going to stay at instead of a third party. You'd be amazed at how helpful the staff at the hotel can be when you talk to them nicely!

That's a really good point Mark ... calling the front desk directly can result in some good stuff. I usually call them directly for questionable items too, like "Expedia says there is no parking fee here - is that true?" as their answers are always better than the 3rd party app's

Yes, I called the front desk, but they couldn't help me since the reservation was made thru expedia
