Is the quality as good as say a cassette?
It's not your transmitter... After the comm problems experienced on Sep-11th, emergency services and police communications are given preference (read as, they are allowed to interfere) to prevent any interference with "essential" communications. Watch the signal from your cell phone bottom out near a firehouse or police station, as well.Well even driving by places like firestations sometimes causes it... i dont know its weird. maybe its just the trasmitter i have.

Doesn't it have a secondary channel or frequency you can switch to?what sucks though is if im driving on an interstate and someone else has one they hijack my signal! that, i believe, is a problem with my transmitter. its not very powerful apparently
or you could re-sort the Networks list in your phone to avoid the US and Quebec towers...![]()
...actually since I went into semi-retirement I really do not want to be available to the world 24/7so avoiding the roaming charges is my quasi-excuse to not use the dang cell phone

I am still undecided on what to do. I like the IPOD due to it simplicity. The MP3, is so dang small, its hard for me to select songs. You have to remember, that I am a 58 year old man here and my eyes and coordination is not the best. I think the more and more I look at it, I will be going to the IPOD, I hate now to rip all the music to a different format.
