what the??????

I too have had many job offers to process payments for the widest variety of people claiming to be survivors of deceased royalty, surviors of deceased businessmen, live businessmen who need help processing payments and that another company collects the money, sends it to me and then I get to keep 10-20% (depending on the offer) and mail them the rest. If the other company collects it, why can't THEY send it to them. What a scam! I can't believe there are so many people who fall for these things. My wife watches "Judge Judy" (for the benefit of our non-U.S. folk here, the court show where minor disputes are solved on TV ) and there are a ton of people getting sued because they got defrauded and now won't pay the people who helped them "cash" these checks back for the money they borrowed to send so they could have the "free money."

I've gotten those too. I bet most everyone has, too bad some people fall for it. A while back I stumbled on this site when I was looking for a security answer for something and I found this thread with this guy who was baiting one of those scammers. It was a pretty funny read/listen. :D

I guess he has another one I haven't read/listened to yet:

That is classic, awesome!

That is classic, awesome!

There is another site I stumbled across while I was reading those that deals with those who bait back the 419 scammers. There are a couple in there that had me in tears in my office while I was reading them. The site is http://www.419eater.com. In particular, there is this one: http://www.419eater.com/html/tope.htm in which the guy baits the scammer into taking a photo of himself with a fish on top of his head while biting into a loaf of bread. Pretty funny stuff. Unfortunately, after the scammer sends the picture, Father Bateyoo Reelgud dies in a tragic motorised Tribble harvester accident.

In this one: http://www.419eater.com/html/okorie.htm they convince the scammer to get a tattoo that says "Baited by Shiver". Classic! :D :D :D

The one with the tatoo was totally great! I loved it.

I also saw one where he gets the scammers to video tape themselves doing something or another and send it to them. though you have to be careful I know he puts up guidelines for what to do and not to do to keep yourselves safe. would hate to have some of these guys show up to my house with machetes and chainsaws. most of em don't take kindly to being made fun of

Don't bother. If he's anything like the deposed African king I gave my bank details to, I never got a penny.

If anything, I'm think he was taking money.

HAHAHAHA

Uh ive been reading these for an hour.... ive got no work done!!

DOH!!

Here is another one where he tricks a scammer into carving a wooden bust of his head and shipping it to him. :D

http://www.419eater.com/html/bigman.htm

Funny stuff. I wish I had time to read more of them.

I have to thank you for these. They whole site has given my wife and I the biggest laughs we've had in a long time. Looking through the Trophy Room is absolutely hilarious and what they get these scummers (spelling intended) to do for the money is great.

I wasn't kidding when I said I had tears streaming down my face in my office reading those things. I was afraid someone was going to come by and think I was going mental. Which, of course, I am. :D

I just keep thinking of the photoshopped picture of the Tribble harvester accident, with a pair of legs sticking out of it and the words "Tribbles R Us" across the top. This guy has a real thing for Tribbles. :D

I stumbled across that site late last year and then forgot about it. I only remembered when you made your above post about the scams and I rediscovered it. As Ray said above, once I get started looking at those before I know it it's hours later and I haven't done anything. Oops.

one of my favs is the sign Phil McCrackin (plus the extra which we won't mention here).

That one was good, along with Mi Eric Shun, with a somewhat phallic picture underneath. :D

Some of the best ones can't be mentioned here though, too bad.

Those 419 stories are some of the funniest things I have read in years. Those scammers are so desperate they will do almost anything !
