Non ActiveX Treeview Control

Has anyone ever come across one?

I found this several years ago (start here) and have attempted, from time to time, to simplify it, improve its functionality, and make it easier to install.

It's be great if there were a working model out there.

If it is an all Access solution, why is it difficult to install? Since it is not an external control, what has to be installed?

Why not use the standard TreeView control that ships with Office? ... Since it comes with office and is installed with Office, I would not think there would be any concerns as to the presence of the library.
