Search function on a form?

Hi, is it possible to put a search function on a form. So I can search for a name or someones ID number and it finds that record?

Its a patient database, with user entry form, so would be useful for user to search for a patients record in order to edit/add to it.

How about using the built in find button - and giving the form its own toolbar, or shortcut menu bar with the find button on.

Thanks for this but it does not allow you to search. If I have a database with 10,000 people on it, will be a bit hard scrolling through them all.

Unless I am reading it wrong?

1. By going into design view
2. Opening the toolbox
3. And by clicking on the the button that says command button
There you can find alot of option that you want that button to do for you..including searching
