password and permissions??

hi
i am newbie on access . i made a db on access 2007 but i am in trouble with permissions and access login etc...
"i made an office in that there are some workers which they need to login from first screen with their password and open their reports.."
i need to make a switchboard which first gives login screen. and users uses that form for accessing their parts(admins , workers chiefs... (like site portals)) do you have any example ?
can u help me on this subject?

Your database is actual in 2000 format!

OOPs! then it probably won't him at all since he is in 2007. I am waaaaay behind the times...but I dont' like 2007. (probably because I am not used to it)

You database should help. You example should convert to 2007 format.

You can run and edit a 2000 to 2003 database without even converting it to 2007 format. I find it best to convert 97 formats to 200 or later to use with 2007.

Not my DB, but I did get it off here. Can't remember off hand who's it is, but the logic certainly helped me.
