Question Run Access 2000 or 2003 in Windows 7

I have a new computer (64 bit 5i) with Windows 7. I have tried to run Ac2007for two months now and find it a horrible time consuming frustating downgrade of Access 2000. Ac 2000 runs ok, but when I try to download the latest service paks, I get error messages.

Anyone know what I can do to load the Service Paks?. If I can't load the service paks, will I have better luck buying a used copy of Office 2003?. Anything to get away from 2007

IMHO, you will be better off going with 2007 or 2010.

What issues are you having with 2007? Do you need to the old menus back?

I do miss the old menus and particularly the ease of using the old menu, though I am getting used to 2007. I find the help screens almost useless in that they are so general, often referencing Word or Excel or whatever, that I use Google more than I use Access help. In designing reports, I now have to shift click each field in a group that I want to move rather than holding down shift and "grabbing" a group with the mouse. Worst of all, counter to most reports, I get more instability in 2007 than 2000. For example, often, if I remove a table or query from query's source objects, 2007 refuses to "let it go", but, on open, gives me error messages asking for the removed source object. Then there are a host of minor things that like filling out the filtering popup, the need to get permission to run code, the focus on macros. I know, sounds Luddite, but ---
