Is there some reason you need a very old version of SQL Server.

The free/lite version for 2000, if I remember correctly, was called MSDE.

The current free/lite version is called SQL Express.

You should be able to find the download at microsoft's site.

Many companies haven't completely converted to a newer version yet. Unfortunately, I know too well.
