I am facing the same problem but the solutions presented do not apply to me. Apparently, I may have to introduce some sort of VBA code to make sure all the pop-up forms, and other forms are closed when I click the close button.

Update: The database works perfectly on my end. When I open it once, it works, then when I try to open it after I closed it, I get this.
The database won't open (This is the back end of the database) I have to go to task manager and end task for MS Access then I can open the database again...
I can't upload it. It contains sensitive private data for my company. However, it seems that it happens especially when I hold down the shift key to by pass security.
When I try to open the Access file on my end, the files doesn't open but the temporary file is created just underneath as shown in the image I attached. What could be causing that?
