    Its been an eventful week

@isladogs Colin, I don't post much anymore but still follow the forum. Was sorry to see (and confused by) you being removed as a moderator. I have always found your posts to be very informative, and I have learned from the sample dbs you post as well. Even in the the water cooler, where things...

    Reviewing previous posts

I can see my posts going back to 2013, granted I don't have even half as many as you so maybe it cuts off at a certain number? Click on your profile, then Your Content.

    Relationship not working

When working with a main form/sub form scenario, the foreign key value is inserted into the child table via the Master/Child link property of the Subform Control (this is the "window" that holds the sub form). Open your form in design view, open the properties sheet for the Subform Control, go...

    After_update problem

So now the code will fire every time a user tabs through that control, whether they updated the record or not. Are you sure that's what you want?

    Trump on Pregnancy

Couldn't agree more Doc. The two major parties in the USA have become two sides of the same coin. You'll get a different image depending on which side of the coin you are looking at, but the basic properties of the coin remain the same. Corruption, Dishonesty, Propaganda. As far as individual...

    strsql

    Corrected for VBA; strSQL = "SELECT tblbookings.EventID, tblParticipants.PEmail, tblBookings.AmountPaid, tblEvents.EventName, tblEvents.EventDate, tblParticipants.PName, tblBookings.PLReceived, tblbookings.ReminderEmailSent, tblbookings.ReminderEmailSentDate FROM (tblParticipants INNER JOIN...

    strsql

    This might work; strSQL = "SELECT tblbookings.EventID, tblParticipants.PEmail, tblBookings.AmountPaid, tblEvents.EventName, tblEvents.EventDate, tblParticipants.PName, tblBookings.PLReceived, tblbookings.ReminderEmailSent, tblbookings.ReminderEmailSentDate FROM (tblParticipants INNER JOIN...

control if data is saved to a table via form

That's the nature of bound forms. You could use the Before Update event of the form, prompt the user to answer Yes/No to save updates. If they answer No Cancel the update.

Flat Earth and Hollow Earth Theories

Speak for your self blasphemer. I had a meeting with the Almighty just last night. Notice how the fork appears to be hovering? That's because it is. I submit this as definitive proof of the FSM.;)

I don't want the message of "Enable contents"

You could send the user a accde copy (or mde if it's an older version of Access). As long as you have the navigation pane hidden and all the other properties set in the master copy before you create the accde then the user won't be able to see anything other than what you want them to see...

Flat Earth and Hollow Earth Theories

After at least 15, maybe 16, minutes of exhaustive research, I have determined that the chem-trails are actually a product of the Agartheans of Hollow Earth (who have secretly taken over most of the airline pilot jobs), and they are intended to destroy the Flat Earthers. Makes perfect sense to...

    Delete sheet Misery

In addition to the other suggestions, you may need to temporarily turn off alerts in the workbook. Example; Dim XL As Object Set XL = CreateObject("Excel.Application") With XL .Workbooks.Open ("C:\Users\sbailey\Documents\Book1.xlsx") .DisplayAlerts = False...

    Conditional Formatting Colour

It may have been just me, not the web site. Occasionally, when I try to make contact with my brain, I find it has the invisibility property set to True. :D
