Terry Pratchet? If he can help, I'll call him. I have a nervous little finger, sometimes I spell it wizzzzzard. I did spell it correct in the original though. <smile> I can't get the I.T. Dept to re-install the program. They see no reason ....... so I'm stuck.

Did that, it doesn't do anything. The only place the control wizzard icon is visible is in the tool box when I'm in design mode. When I click on it, it does nothing.

It still does not work. I have attached my database. The TimeDown is automatic. You have to fill in the area to get a unit. After the unit is logged, the operator will call and I will double click in the TimeOn and then fill in a reason per the operator. I don't want to go to another record...

I didn't mean the reason MUST be left blank as in I don't want anyone entering data. Data cannot be entered until the unit is back on line and then we will have a reason to enter. We will not have a reason until the operator calls and tells us. What I don't want is someone showing the unit on...

Yes, that was it, I guess. On the computer that failed, the acrobat control for active x was missing. I unchecked that box and the macro runs now. I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but why would acrobat have anything to do with it and how would it have got changed?
