I am running Access 2000. The control wizard is not available. It does not come up when I add a command button for example. How do I get it turned on?

on the toolbox click the magic wand (control wizards), this will reactivate the wizards.

Did that, it doesn't do anything. The only place the control wizzard icon is visible is in the tool box when I'm in design mode. When I click on it, it does nothing.

It should be dark grey when inactive and light grey when active. Try changing the state (whatever the existing state is). Close Access. Reopen and do this again. Close Reopen and if the current state is not active, change it to active. Now try the command button wizard. If this doesn't work, re-install Access.

I think you've been reading too much Terry Pratchet if you spell wizard with double z!

Terry Pratchet? If he can help, I'll call him. I have a nervous little finger, sometimes I spell it wizzzzzard. I did spell it correct in the original though. <smile>
I can't get the I.T. Dept to re-install the program. They see no reason ....... so I'm stuck.

Nah... Its the Xmas songs! All together now...

"Well I wish it could be Christmas every day..."

(For those of you who don't know, this was a hit for Wizzard in the Seventies)

Speak to IT Department. Say 'I am customer - you are service provider. Re-install my program or fix the wizards'

Alternatively, delete a load of Access executable files from your hard disk...
