    Holding down Shift

If you download the sample on my post, all you have to do is: In your db, go to tables, select IMPORT tables, find the sample db that you SHOULD have downloaded, select the modules and the macro. Once those are in there security is taken care of. From here, if you want to Bypass the Shift...

    Holding down Shift

Secure DB  I noticed this post and couldn't help myself to reply! I can't remember where this method originated (wish I could take the credit) ;) ....at any rate, I think this provides the MOST security. First, in the Back End, set a DB password: Tools, Security, (in this case...

    Automatically zipping a file

WinZip GHudson, I've tried your suggestion. Made the appropriate modifications for my db. It seems to run, returning a message that the file has been backedup. But when I go to the directory the db is suppose to be in, there is only a backup NOT a zip. Is this what this is suppose to do...

The design/development process - Your techniques?

I too.. I too follow the same procedure neileg does....the advantage is that the more the user can visualize the more he/she can better communicate to you what he/she is looking for. Ideally you sit down, talk, talk, talk and talk some more, but the user, more often than not, knows 0 about the...

Change the colour of the background

OK.... Well after much reading of the code....I was able to determine how to make the image stay in the db. Very easily accomplished (once all the reading was done) and only cuz I'm new to classing...at any rate.... Once you've imported all the mod's and classes into your current project do...

Change the colour of the background

hmmmm I've recently tried this very same sample, and I know I'm the dummy here, but..... it works great...until you close and re-open it. Once you re-open it, the image or color needs to be reloaded all over again. Again, I'm probably the dummy here.

    Time is running out!

Thanks....but... Sorry for the confusion....I will try to be more clear. The FollowUpDays field is filled in by the user and is determined by the user. Therefore this field may have 30, 45, 60 as values. 5 Days after each one of the values (30, 45, 60) a reminder is sent to the respective...

    Time is running out!

Hello, I have a table that stores a DueDate (date field) and a FollowUpDays (number field). What I'm trying to accomplish is create a report based on projects where DueDates are within 5 days of being due. I'm not sure how to set the query which the report will be based on. For instance...
