Thanks for your time and consideration. I am currently trying a different approach. The initial tests look good. I just need to apply it to all the cbos in my application that use the recently appended data.

Also, there is a slight lag each time I initially open the recordset. I'll probably just do a quick open when the form initially opens so the user doesn't see that.

I still have a problem if I ever try to apply a .Filter to a recordset...I can either filter apostrophes correctly or spaces, not both. This doesn't really matter since the approach I'm using doesn't require the recordset to be filtered. I just fear what is going to happen down the road when I have a million records instead of 100K. The list is growing quickly with multiple entities adding approved locations frequently.
