Well thanks,, Access + graphics resources..? I think not. As far as file resources go it has a minimal file useage as it uses an sql back-end. Latest theory is that the number of linked tables and the potential data size they represent could be significant..we have several users some of whom...

    Stimulsoft reports

Is anyone interested in running a thread around Stimulsoft reports which is a reporting system far more modern, fast, easy to use and powerful than anything Crystal ever is or could be? We have used this system for about 5 years and have nothing negative to say about it, on the contrary it has...

    DoCmd.OutputTo AcReport <CRASHES>

We needed a way to preview access reports nicely, its a bit rough in access2003 so we used the outpt to rtf method to create an rtf file which we then preview in the stimulsoft report viewer..hope you know about stimulsoft btw..its just a zillion times better than crystal or access. Thanks again

Access 2003 crashes on compact & repair

Thansk, I found the cause and it was an old query which was 'invalid'. I found it by exporting all objects to text..when it hit this query it crashed so it was just to delete the query and hej-presto!

Access 2003 crashes on compact & repair

Hi all I have an application which is built using Access 2003. The MDE is set to compact and repair on close. However this has recently started causing the application to crash instead as the use closes the app. I have decompiled the mdb and can repair and compact manually without problems...
