Access 2003 crashes on compact & repair

Hi all

I have an application which is built using Access 2003. The MDE is set to compact and repair on close. However this has recently started causing the application to crash instead as the use closes the app. I have decompiled the mdb and can repair and compact manually without problems.

Now here's the weird thing. If I remove the /runtime from the desktop shortcut it doesnt crash but works fine.

Grateful for any ideas that might put me on the riught track.

I have read before that compact and repair on close can cause corruption over time. I would uncheck it and redistribute your frontend.

Thansk, I found the cause and it was an old query which was 'invalid'. I found it by exporting all objects to text..when it hit this query it crashed so it was just to delete the query and hej-presto!
