    Conditional Formatting Dispaly On Load?

Yeah that was one issue. The other issue was I was using the Conditional Formatting button instead of just using VBA. I got rif of the ribbon button's formatting and used VBA some helpful folks assisted me with.

    Conditional Formatting Dispaly On Load?

I've tried adding this expression to the On Enter, On Focus, and On Click fields. The control calculates just fine, but it just doesn't apply the formatting I'd like: =IIf([Task1Percentage] Between 0.9 And 1,[Task1Percentage].[BackColor]=65280,[Task1Percentage].[BackColor]=3937500)

    Conditional Formatting Dispaly On Load?

Greetings. The fields are in the detail section of the report. Each field is calculated in the field's Control Source. For instance, for one field, the formula is =Abs(Nz([Task_1_1_Flag],0)+Nz([Task_1_2_Flag],0))/2. I display it as a percentage. I then have conditional formatting (using the...

Text box truncates to 255 in all reports

This may be too simple a solution, but do you have the Can Grow set to Yes on the field's properties on your report? A Memo field type should hold many more than 255 characters. Have you looked in the table to see if there are more than 255 characters being stored? If so, it's a display issue...

    Calculating an average from checkboxes?

Solved. June7 in another forum turned me onto this syntax: =Abs(Nz([Task_1_1_Flag],0)+Nz([Task_1_2_Flag],0))/2 Thanks June7!!

    Conditional Formatting Dispaly On Load?

I'm using Access 2010. I set up conditional formatting in some areas of my report. They're very simple like if a cell is between 0 and .4, then the background color of the field is red. They work just fine...when I click on the field. I don't remember ever running into this issue in the past...

    Calculating an average from checkboxes?

Greetings. I have a report that I'd like to create a scorecard within. The scores will be expressed as percentages. I have 8 categories of tasks, and each category has a differing number of activities within it. When an activity is completed, the user checks a box indicating it is done. So I'd...

limiting New Record Based On Records On A Specific Date

Hello all. I have a simple database out there in use for registering participants in a class. The folks running the class would now like to limit the participants to 45 for a given day the class is given. Basically, they don't want to register more than 45 people for a class. So, how do I...

Displaying Date Span Report Is Based Upon

I have a report in Access 2010 whose control source is a query. When the report is launched, the query asks the user for a date span to filter the results with. The user enters the start date in MM/DD/YYYY format in the box and then the same for the end date. The report filters the dates just...

    Calculating Age

Thanks for the quick reply. We actually have a field for years and a field for months, so just years wouldn't do it. We need the years and months.

    Calculating Age

I've search and found several threads on this, but none seemed to fit with what I'm doing. I'm updating a database created by a guy who retired 6+ years ago. His formula for determining the person's age using today's date and the person's date of birth adds a year most every time. I've...

    Runtime & OpenOffice.org

So I made a little db using A2k3 to use @ work. We have OpenOffice.org 2.0 @ work and not MS Office. Since I knew Access better than OO's db program, I used it and was going to just take it in and use it after it was finished. Well, I didn't realize that unlike OO's Word, PowerPoint and Excel...

Form Go To Back on Report Call

I had done that, but I was hoping to have a small screen (i.e. a switchboard). Every time the switchboard is launched, it's in full-screen mode unless pop-up is enabled. Is there a way around this? Thanx a ton!
