Max(Date) duplicate dates for a record

I think that he will need to include the dats in that join, plus he might like to count the records in each group in Q1 and run Q2 where that is >1 Brian

British are falling out of love with pubs according to new study

Two things are stated to be responsible for the decline in pub attendance 1. The drink driving law. The young are more responsible than my generation. 2. The smoking ban, most drinkers appeared to be smokers so once they couldn't smoke with their drink in the pub they stayed at home. I also...

Will you upgrade to Windows 10?

I never had 7 going straight from XP to 8 when I had to buy a new laptop, then to 8.1 . I never see the start screen as I boot to the desktop and have had no complaints about 8.1 , but to be fair these days I don't do much, some say I never did. Having spent a couple of years at school...

Will you upgrade to Windows 10?

Why are people surprised that there are patches? Windows is a huge piece of software interfacing with many variations of hardware and apps. We used to say back in the 1960s when I first started that we could test for months only for the young girls in the office to break the program in minutes...

    Continuing Adventures of Pepper

Actually Col my remarks were aimed at the first post, think about it, but I can see how you could think that it might include you. I apologise to the forum members for my language in the failed attempt at humour. Brian

Col, I would point out that this is the Watercooler not the Debates forum, therefore one can post the sort of throw away comment people make at Watercoolers, however at the Watercooler in the office I worked, coffee machine actually, a shitty comment could expect a shitty reply and you lived...

    Continuing Adventures of Pepper

He, and a guy called Rich, were not banned but deleted from the forum by a mod they were having an argument with, again it was a mountain made out of a molehill. They were reinstated but lost thousands of posts, many , maybe most, from the technical threads. The guy apologised and resigned his...

I don't follow multi-day cricket, a stupid game usually decided by who wins the toss, but the last match scores would suggest that we sent the blind school. Brian PS perhaps we should send out our ladies , they apparently won.

    Resign from Site!

Then could you please explain Pbaldy's post. I know Col can be a pain and likes to wind people up but it appears to me that it is Burrina who was rude in the highlighted thread , and Col was not the only one who found the first post puzzling. Brian

    Calculating age in Excel

Datedif is an old Lotus function Microsoft provided for compatibility ages ago but stopped showing it in help after Excel 97 but still permit it to work. It is superior to Datediff. I was saying that other functions also are different, therefore the actual formula code will differ, so why not...

    Calculating age in Excel

You were getting the number of days not years. It pays to do a test with a short date span , say 1 year, 2 months 3 days as things can be easily calculated manually and errors spotted. Brian
