    Why so many adverts suddenly?

I wish there were no ads, but the alternative is no site at all. Going back to before Covid, we had lots of traffic and so could afford to have fewer ads. Traffic is down to about 1/3rd and most of the higher paying advertisers left. So, we are on a shoestring here, which means more ads.

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

I think I know the issue. You are blocking ads, but the space where the advert would be is left blank, hence the post looks tall.

    Why so many adverts suddenly?

    Couple of ads? No site.

    How the AI apocolypse starts

Some believe the cost of everything will plummet, with AI and robots doing all the productivity. We will be on a universal income and with everything so inexpensive, we can have everything we want, including eternal life. Well, that is the vision. Sorry folks, Access World will not accept my posts

I would love to make a profit Doc, however, advertising revenues for the site are less than 1/10 of what they were prior to covid and hosting costs have gone up.

Sorry folks, Access World will not accept my posts

No facilities for this in the software.

Sorry folks, Access World will not accept my posts

You are correct @Gasman, there is no such system. In many cases, the user has quoted a previous reply in their response and that quoted section has a link in it. This often flies under the radar of new users here because they didn't type out the link themselves, but they still included a link...

Microsoft’s “Premier” Mix-Up: A Tale of Access and Amnesia

The fact that AWF has been the premier site for many years and UA is dead, really makes me question if Microsoft are looking at all outside of their bubble. Surely they should know what the most popular discussion forum is for their product? Have they got something against us? I can imagine them...
