When to eat your cake - heard of intermittent fasting?

Does it have to be 16/8? I seem to have followed a 14/10 regime for most of my life, just thought that was normal, or is the real issue skipping a meal? I know a chap who had great success following the 5/2 day system. Brian

When to eat your cake - heard of intermittent fasting?

Why do Americans overreact to Col, either just ignore him or join in the banter. Way back when I was working on a trip to America an American said to me during a social discussion, "we seem to either live in the gym of Macdonald's" , why can't the Americans on here be a bit more laid back. Libre...

    Death: how best to die.

And BTW 75 is far too young, many very active members of our U3A are well over 80 and I certainly feel that I've got more than one year left. Brian

    Death: how best to die.

Col you have to be carefull not to react too quickly as the medical profession can't always be accurate, what we really need is assisted dying when the time is right. My wife was given 3 to 10 with a probable 5 years when her first cancer was diagnosed, she knew that the end could be drawn out...

Excel: Calculate two rows together and delete one

You don't say where this is coming from, if Access then the simplest approach would be to do the aggregation in the Access query. Brian

Parameter by textbox on form not working

The answer to the question is yes, the data is only available when you move off the control IE textbox or hit enter. Brian

    AverageIf QUERY...

I don't think you can use average ifs here , I think that you are going to need to do 4 counts, three countifs to get he number of True with each position and a count of all the True, then do the maths. Brian

find string as a part of larger string

I'm always amused when people say a function does not work when they mean that they cannot use it . You might like to take a look at this http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1888759 Brian

Combine nested IIF and SELECT TOP

I no longer have Access so this will probably be my only response. If you have just 3 predefined % then 3 simple queries would seem the way to go rather than using VBA to build a SQL string obtaining the value from the form to put into that string. Brian
