Trying this on my own - Access Database

I would suggest going to somewhere like InfiniteSkills.com and do some videos first - :)

    Dcount question

You have to make sure the criteria string resolves into something sql will accept. Example: OrdersCount = DCount("[ShippedDate]", "Orders", "[ShipCountry] = '" & strCountry & "' AND [ShippedDate] > #" & dteShipDate & "#")

    Strange query additions

Access has to take the entries in the criteria lines and form them into what it thinks is the correct sql statement when you close the form. These are the results you see when you open it back up. The only work around is to really get you head around how the and/or stuff works within rows and...

    Correcting Table Structure

For starters, it looks like you could normalize the exposure table tblIncident ID pk date etc tblExposures ID PK IncidentID fk ExposureID fk tblExposureTypes ID pk Each Incident can have multiple Exposures and each Exposure has an Exposure Type Hope this makes sense...

    TempVars?

In the context that you are using it there may not be an advantage. But I some cases it could be usefull to have it available at the db level. Like in case after you went to form 2 there may be an option to pull a third form or perform some operation that used the record id. In your case it...

    Are you an atheist?

To start with seems you're a bit gullable to think their praying to God really lead them to the decision to go to war. It was a damage control thing... In any case faith is not inherently evil, it's how it's applied. Apply extremism to most anything and unexpected and sometimes bad things can...

    Are you an atheist?

Is this unreasonable 'faith', just faith in some things or just selected things which is unreasonable?

    Are you an atheist?

Seems it is not the faith in itself at the root of the evils but the miss-application of the principles of the faith?

    Tables Versus Queries

Ugh... The worst part is they probably want their data from the old, poorly designed database to work with the new stuff...

    Tables Versus Queries

Agreed good starting points. But: a. You can normalize too much sometimes. A lot depends on the deployment. b. Somebody (read between the lines) needs to walk the business process(s) and understand and collect the business requirements, making it a point to not even mention a computer or database.
