    Ads....Ads....Ads.....They are everywhere....

Of course. Women should learn to keep their knees together. Or if they can't afford a child then have a termination, then they're not lumbered with a child they can't afford. It's not that difficult.

Neither is the big mortgage and the fancy car or the top range iphone or the posh furniture etc etc. If you can't afford the children then don't have them, the children suffer in the long run. All because of the parents want to be one up on their neighbours. So the parents employ a housekeeper/...

    Ads....Ads....Ads.....They are everywhere....

The problem is that parents don't bring up children. They dump them off at nurseries or grandparents or any Tom, Dick or Harry. Parents (if there is two) only think about earning money. The kid then grows up with no true values so they go off the rails (like smashing up Congress building). If a...

    Oikophobe: Word of the Day

I was talking to an American person the other day. I must have caught something, antibiotics should clear it.

Where and what were you doing on 9/11/2001?

I've no idea. There's two things to this. 1) where were you when it was happening? 2) when did you hear about it? Most American incidents happen at (UK) night time. So what day was it? And what time (UK) did it happen? To be honest, I don't remember. I suspect it made the papers here next day...

    Online Annoyances

Thanks Jon. I think they started to become more noticeable from Feb or March this year. I can't remember them being so intrusive before then. That's why I took a few months off because the ads even came (and still do) in the middle of someone's post on a thread. And also in between posts. It's...

So why was this site so much better 20 years ago with no ads? Were there no costs then? Col

    Why so many adverts suddenly?

Two things will finish this site. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but sometime. How sad. A) Americans who think they know it all - and don't, instead, they are boring. And more importantly B) Too many ads, even in the middle of a post you're trying to read. I've had ads from sanitary towels to...

    Why so many adverts suddenly?

Hi Jon. I don't have a computer, I only use an ipad, I don't know how to do a screenshot, sorry. Yes I was logged in. Col

    Why so many adverts suddenly?

Over the recent week or so, when I browse the forums I get loads of adverts between each post on any thread. I counted 25 adverts between 2 posts on the Trump thread. None of the adverts were relevant and took some time to scroll to the next post. What has happened? How can I stop these useless...

    Nicotine Alternatives

I smoked soft pack ciggies back in the day. Marlboro, Lucky Strike, Peter Stuyvesant etc. I bought a cigarette case to avoid the crushing. Still use it today. I bought it in 1967 in Selfridges. Col

Remember the Marlboro man? Super fit outdoorsy type climbing mountains, running like a train then enjoying a nice fag. If you smoked, you could be like him. Col

    Rational vs. irrational reporting

No need for books. They've got it all on their phones. They send each other explicit pictures. The biggest downfall of children's morals is social media and dumping the kids off with any Tom, Dick or Harry whilst the mother can't be bothered to do what they're here for, and sods off to work. Col
