    runtime access97 on thumb drive?

If you want the app to run strictly on the '97 runtime, I would assume all you would have to do is create the shortcut to your application with the '97 'runtime switch'. But I don't know where Access installs your version of the runtime. ----------Edit---------- I mean assign the correct .exe...

Problem with a Sql string in vba

What I do when developing SQL statements to be used for recordsets is to make a test query and pull all the data I want in the design mode only, and then switch to SQL view and insert your keywords. Adjust your statements and re-check your results. Only after I am satisfied with the results and...

Changing subforms by code - only works from time to time ...

WOW… ok… now I see. Steff, you obviously spent some time writing those SQL statements. This is with Access 2003; the errors are a little different. Ok… going through this a little more thoroughly than what I did the first time... Just running the queries by themselves… qrySumFATim...

Changing subforms by code - only works from time to time ...

Hi Chris, That did help. I should say the earlier statement was in regards to a control on a subform, although I wouldn’t associate a label as a control I thought I would include it just incase the requery didn’t work. I should include the whole statement to make sure I didn’t perceive it...

Changing subforms by code - only works from time to time ...

Looks like you got Steff going RG. I found this in one of my books regarding syntax in subforms and thought I would post it, although I haven't tested it to see if it works or applies to Access 2003. This is regarding (!) vs. (.) in subforms. ----------- Using syntax in subforms you can never...

Changing subforms by code - only works from time to time ...

I haven't used subforms in a while, so I had to hit the books. Try using the (!) 'bang' operator instead of the (.) Dot operator in your code in/for a subform.

    Has the forum been hijacked?

I just went through my browser options and deleted the cookie for this site, actually all of them for this site ( I think there were about six, one was bblastactivity, bbsessionhash, bbuserid, bbuserpassword, bbthread_lastview, bblastvisit ). Does this mean they also have our IP address...

    Has the forum been hijacked?

Ahhhh... You have to delete your cookie. Before I deleted my cookie, everything was blank with Firefox, after deleting it, the forums show up again. Now, whats in the cookie thats has your latest info that would make the site invisible? ------------ That part of it had to be recent and...

No go with the Firefox 1.5 RC 3. Home page is ok... but the forums are blank, nada, zip. Odd it fails with Firefox, but OK with IE and Avant.

    Select Distinct

Well... After having some spare time and doing some more testing, I found that I wasn't really compliant with my SQL statements using 'Distinct' after-all. Usually when Access gets 'tweaky' I am trying to do something illegal. I simply didn't have the SQL statements in my recordsets the way...

    MSysModules2 Permissions Error?

I know of one other guy that is having the same problem with the Access 2003 runtime (same app runs ok as an mdb but as a mde in the runtime there are issues). He is supposed to do some more testing this weekend and get back and post his results.

    Page Setup 'print to' property...

I haven't done this and I am not sure if I fully understand... Anyway, going through my books evidently Access 2002 adds the 'UseDefaultPrinter' property. True if the object is set to print to the default printer. False if the object is set to print to another printer. The references to...

Certain functions in Access not working

Sam, I would try uninstalling, reboot, install again and make sure you have checked your items for a complete install. Also maybe close down any other apps that may conflict with the installation.

    Access 97 clone available

If you do use the runtime and have a fairly complex project, I would check your results even if you don't recieve any errors. Just dont assume that if you use the runtime that you are automatically home free.
