    Need a Record Count Summary

vbaInet: I tried this code on one of my databases. Quite neat. Although it took forever to run! (Monster database) I did get numerous results that gave "Error" ... not sure why. But again; it's a monster that is linked all over the place to XLS, TXT, and other MDB files on numerous different...

    SQL Query Help

Uh Oh.... Maybe I bit off more than I can chew??? vbaInet: Using a new query could work; but I'm worried that I will start to mess up the rest of this monster. Here is the whole query: (I have added a blank line to isolate the area in question...) SELECT [Zero Run Time List].ReportDate...

    SQL Query Help

I've got a tough one - for me - that I am hoping others here may know a simple answer to. I am terrible (read extreme novice) at SQL queries. I have always done my queries via design view. I have found myself needing to correct a query but do not believe it is possible to do in design view...

Grabbing parts of a TXT file to add to a table

I love posting here! Half the time after I do a post like above I find the answer I needed someplace online. I've got a little work to do now to strip my table of unwanted data, but other than that I've got it...... Thx

Grabbing parts of a TXT file to add to a table

This may be the wrong place to put this and if it should be in another forum please let me know. Years ago I used to know how to do this but that knowledge has left me and the database I was using at the time no longer will open (corrupted/etc ... I don't know)... I have a report that is...

Report Numbers display "-2E-15" instead of "0"

I got it working.... Talked the "Currency" idea over with one of my programmers and he thought that was a heck of an idea! Only thing I didn't like about it was needing to strip off the "$" symbol from everywhere. Instead, in my report, I just used =round(sum(xxxxxxxx),2) This took care...

Report Numbers display "-2E-15" instead of "0"

to Currency?? When I did that all the data in my table changed to $7.32, $0.00, etc... That isn't right is it??? Gotta run for tonight; will try and pick this up in the AM

Report Numbers display "-2E-15" instead of "0"

Okay; so the table was set to 'DOUBLE' and 'STANDARD'. If I change this to 'INTEGER' and 'STANDARD' during save changes it says some data may be lost. No problem since I am working on a backup table :) The report now displays the "0" instead of the "-2E-15" but everything is rounded to whole...

Report Numbers display "-2E-15" instead of "0"

I've never been able to figure this out - or at least to where it makes sense to me; but double variables/intergers/etc always confuses me. I did not set up the database, but as I have been digging through this to figure out why I do remember seeing something set to 'double' ... not sure...

Report Numbers display "-2E-15" instead of "0"

No, it is not. This report lists 6 people. 5 of the 6 have 0 remaining vacation time. The one with remaining vacation time displays correct (4.32) Four of the 5 with zero display "0" The one displays the "-2E-15"

Report Numbers display "-2E-15" instead of "0"

I am hoping this could be an easy one, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. I have a payroll database and my report that lists vacation time is not displaying correctly (for one person only). Every entry into my payroll tables are in this format: ##.## (24hr) I've double checked...

    Memo Field Formatting

Well this stinks.. Anyone know of a way to add information to Access2000 in a way I can keep RTF formatting for the body of information?

    Memo Field Formatting

Quick Update.. I have access to Access 2010 and I see where the difference is and can change the format to Rich Text there. After saving and re-opening on Access 2000 the settings will not go through. My one line entry for testing did get a bunch of HTML coding added to it; but it doesn't...

    Memo Field Formatting

Yes!!! I am NOT loosing my mind!! Lagbolt - I wanted to believe it would be this simple. I really did. :D I rushed into work this morning and the first thing I wanted to do was to look at this setting so I could move forward on this db today. Alas - no luck! :( You said to look at "Text...

    Memo Field Formatting

I did some searching here and via Google; but never found my answers - so onward I go. :banghead: I am creating a new database for storing the MANY policies/proceedure documents the company has into one location that will be easily searchable. We are just going to re-create all of them in...

    Compairing Tabs

Okay... Looks like I got a bit of work to do. I got a great jump on it today though.. :D Here's what I've found and what I need some assistance with. After compairing a running list of all my part numbers I have found numerous duplicates that should not be there. What I now need to do is...

    Compairing Tabs

I kind of started a manual sort last night. Got about 20% through the data and gave up and went home. However I did just that - copied all the data stacked into a new tab and sorted by part# to quickly scan for duplicates. I hadn't considered a pivot table .... May have to give that a try! :D

    Compairing Tabs

I could probably do this through some extensive VLOOKUP formulas, but I was hoping to find an easier way about it... I'm also terrible (read as "newbe with no experience") at writing VB - especially in Excel! What I have is a spreadsheet with numerous (15+) tabs. I use it for...
