    Rectangles and Text Boxes

Problem solved!!! Not sure why it is solved, but I made the original rectangles by copying and pasting 9so they woudl have all the same attributes. Only when i deleted them and made "new" rectangles, was i able to drag and drop the text boxes onto the rectangle.

    Rectangles and Text Boxes

I have just tested it using a Text Box (disguised as a rectangle) and I can drag and drop the Text Boxes onto it. So i could change my rectangles to text boxes.....but I wonder why a simple rectangle will not let me do this. A rectangle is just used for design and good-looks purposes, yes?

    Rectangles and Text Boxes

Yes, I have decided on a specific layout so that all my Forms look the same. I just want to drag and drop the text box controls into the Rectangles, so starting with a blank form isn;t really what I am looking for. I thought it would be simple just to drag the text box control onto the top...

I have made a template Form which has Rectangles which contain certain Text Boxes. I have set the Rectangles to 'Send To Back' and they are in set positions. However, when I try to drag and drop a TextBox control onto the Rectangle, the Rectangle moves away. Does anyone know why this...

    Printing a Form

That is because all the data is on the Form page already. I can't see why I would need to create and design reports which would look identical to the Form? This seems to be duplicated work?

Customised width and height of Control on a Form

Yes, I understand the controsl are re-sizeable. But I was wondering if they could be 'dragged' onto the Form already to the required size of my database? I want them to fit snugly into a Box.

I have been searching for a way to customise the height and width of a Control when I drag and drop it onto my Form. Is there such a setting rather than the standard MS setting?

    3 Clicks or 2 Clicks?

Thanks very much for your comments, Alan. Yes it is a good suggestion to hide the WorkOrder control until the TransactionID says WorkOrder. I will probably go down that route. But, I was also thinking of potential conflicts when the WorkOrder control is populated:- a) How to remove any data in...

    Query for Profit/Loss

I wanted to share with you another way of doing this, using a one sided join. First I created a query to joins Contract, Renter, Property and Owner. In frmIncome1 (Copy of original) I then added the new query as part of the recordsource using a one sided join. I finally added the extra...
