Using an APPEND query to move records from one table to another...

You should be able to do this given the following. Where is the OrderID assigned using AutoID. If it's in the Order table you should be OK. If an OrderID is being assigned in the Basket table, you're going to have a problem as the autonumbers in Basket and in Order will be fighting for...

    Auto Numbering missing records

I downloaded this off another forum some time ago. The paper is yellow its so old but it works great. I don't recall whose code it is but it works like a charm for year and sequence. If you recognize it please claim it. (quote) Create two fields in your table: TheYear - long TheSequence –...

Why do so many posters have their locality....a secret

An old political trick. The upper level of government brings in a program just before election time. They fund it until everyone gets used to it. Then they download it on the next lower level of government saying we're not going to fund it anymore. If you want it to continue, you pay for it...

You have crossed a threshold. You are no longer dealing with Excel spreadsheets, you are now dealing with Access tables. On the Access top menu, select File and choose Get External Data. E:Mail

Some may think you're being a little negative Rich. As I seem to get the same ones you do, I can understand. By the way, the bank clerk from Nigeria went to work for a bank in Russia and then for another in Hong Kong.

    Email - Lotus Notes

I have been looking through emailing reports on the search function. The majority seem to deal with Outlook. Any special problems I should be aware of if the client uses Lotus Notes?

    Pasting Multiple items.

If you are talking about copying and pasting to a table in design view, you can only do one field at a time. If you have a large number to paste to, you may want to consider an update query.

    SCHOOL -- 1957 vs. 2007

I rarely belly ache to anyone about anything. Do you think if I complained to the local council they would take them away? Fat chance, now that they've paid for them and all. Please do not misunderstand. There are situations the police have to deal with that requires a "heavy mob".

    Calculated columns showing #error??

This is a common problem (for me at any rate). It often occurs when you atempt to multiply zero times zero or divide zero into zero. Access can't do this with zeros. Try the IIF function with the calculations: IIF ([Field1]>0 and [Field2]>0 ([Field1]*[Field2])),0 Haven't done this for a...

    work group file problems

Going by this post and your previous one (answered by Gemma) it sounds as though you are using the default workgroup - System.mdw as your workgroup file. Each database where you wish to have security should have its own workgroup file (don't name it System) saved in the same folder as the back...

SWAT Special Weapons and Tactics. Originated in Los Angeles in the late 60's as an excuse to give police automatic rifles and other toys. Some of the other definitions offered may be closer to the mark.

    SCHOOL -- 1957 vs. 2007

1957 - Colin and Rich (lol) trade sandwiches at lunch. Colin eats Rich's tuna and Rich eats Colin's peanut butter. Both break out in rashes. Nurse puts lotion on rash and tells Colin & Rich not to play in the Poisin Ivy. 2007 - Colin & Rich rushed to hospital, filled full of eppy, placed on...
