    Format currency within string expression

Thanks for quick response; however, the word Currency is auto-adjusted to [Currency] within string. Any way to avoid it?

    Format currency within string expression

Report has a conditional expression with IIF that produces a string result when record value of currency field is not zero; and I want the string to say "Amount of Donation is $29.50" for a $29.50 value and be blank for a $0.00 value. I have =IIf([Don4]0," ","Amount of Donation is "&[Don4]...

Need help on average function in Query

Simpatiko: Also, if the three GradeX fields are Text (in order to allow the ABC), the numbers would be tricky to average in Access. Try exporting to Excel using Tools, Office Links, Analyze.

    Oh VERY Dear

But why not change the source of the form to the Query?

    Multiple Entries in Query Results.....

Sorry, SOS, I was speaking to the thread-starter. I get 3,333 out of the 9999 records sent via spreadsheets. The join matches 9,999 records and the two criteria cut it to 3,333 matches. However, I still don't know what is the correct/expected number.

    Oh VERY Dear

I used Table1TBL as the named table and Field1, Field2, Field3 as the yes/no checks. This would be the SQL to get the Sums... SELECT Table1TBL.ExampleNo, Table1TBL.Field1, Table1TBL.Field3, Abs([field1]+[field2]+[field3]) AS [Sum] FROM Table1TBL WHERE (((Table1TBL.Field1)=Yes)) OR...

    Multiple Entries in Query Results.....

As I said earlier, the version isn't likely the problem as I'm using 2002 and it corresponds to your results.

    Multiple Entries in Query Results.....

Four sets of eyes have seen your testcase samplings of 9,999 records via spreadsheet and I came up with one-third matches with the two matches on Brand. You say that the expected matches on your real database is 9,999 instead of 12,537. You know this, how? Unfortunately, the database is too...

Creating a separate output for each counted record

For the avid readers out there, you might not have been clear. You called the thread starter a counted record and talked about a sum query with the column titled COUNT. Surely, your Sum Query produced the SUM (not count) of the quantity column not the records?

    Help with query

That is one huge step from the attempt to build the Qtr1 Query about which the thread was started. I’m assuming, hopefully, that you got the Qtr1 Query working and have now tried using the results of all four quarters in a combined report. Once you combine Inner and Left Joins, you have...

Query/Form not showing new record, Tables do though?

Hockey8837: Do you mean that the New Record is entered after the query has been run? Presumably the query would need to be run After the new record is entered. Does the new record populate A B or C when input? Are the joins between the three tables appropriate?

    Help with query

Did you decide to Group By both MemID AND Name? Normally, only the name or only the ID is the Grouping. If the names are repeated but the same, using the Name to group by should combine records for that name. Can you display your Query as a snapshot or type the SQL? When you say Left Join, it...

running a query with 2 tables

Also, is there any doubt that the spelling in the bill table is consistent with the vendor table? Codes are usually more reliable that the names, since spaces or spelling become an issue. Just a thought.

    Delete query

Presumably you've tried the obvious: a query with tblTemp's only field and linking it to the target field in the other table?

    Multiple Entries in Query Results.....

I'm curious, SOS, why or even how you intended that to happen? With the sampling sent yesterday, the result was that one out of every three records was "Group" and it seems that the results obtained do filter out two thirds. My question would be: what number is the expected number of records...

    Multiple Entries in Query Results.....

The version doesn't have a bearing, it's that you are not stating in the query that you only want the records from Table2 that match "group". Put "Brand" field from Table2 also in the query with that criteria.

Deleting Records based on matching criteria

The results of this query would give you the records that need to be deleted from both Sales and Returns sources. I would likely use a separate query that uses this query and the table from which you want to delete the records...joined appropriately...test to make sure only the same records...

Deleting Records based on matching criteria

Let's assume you can adapt from this example. I made Item numeric but you can change, and No, the Sales & Returns ID would be in a table, but you would need something to recognize which record I think. Dates are optional but might exclude a legit return. Imagine this Query1 is from two Queries...

Deleting Records based on matching criteria

I'm surprised that you have both CustNum and CustName to match...are they not unique. Text fields are trickier to guarantee. Is Line TEXT or Number? Does the attachment do the resulting query fields justice--or is the Override and Original both called "Price" in the query?

Deleting Records based on matching criteria

So, 2 queries; unknown tables, possibly with PKs; approx 6 fields as criteria matches; either Union or Delete Query will do. Can you reveal the field names that are common to the output of the two queries that need to match? Maybe I can approximate an answer.
