Another Blonde joke What is a 710? A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. We all looked at each other and another customer asked, "What is a seven-hundred-ten?" She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle...

    ACCESS opens in notepad

When one user opens his ACCESS file, it opens in Notepad. He uses ACCESS 2003. Now he has to right click on that file (on windows explorer) and select open with 'MS Access' to make it to work. Any one knows how this setting can be changed to open with MS ACCESS?

Corruption, ldb file not disappearing, etc.

The front end users need read/write permission to the back end network. See if a user is linking with 'Read Only' permission. That could hang it up.

Any hobby's or interest (other than Access)

I collect toy cars (1/18 size). I like the 1950's US cars (big hunk of steel). I have over 120 cars now. Friends and relatives love to see my car collection. I am also interested in collecting cars seen in movies, like 63 Aston Martin (Gold Finger). My wife first thought it was a waste of money...

The couple were 85 years old, and had been married for sixty years. Though they were far from rich, they managed to get by because they watched their pennies. Though not young, they were both in very good health, largely due to the wife's insistence on healthy foods and exercise for the last...

Another "worst" joke This farmer, Jake, had a bossy wife. She decided to take a vacation with her friends just before Christmas. Before she left, she told her husband: “When I get back from vacation, I want to see a new barn.” They both knew they did not have the money to build a new barn...

Dear Watercooler, Is failure the only way to learn in life?

A little bit of motivational thinking may be helpful in MsLady's situation (IMHO). Instead of thinking "If only I did this or that", think "next time I will do it this way." Instead of focusing on the past, it becomes a focus on the future. I heard that from a preacher and it has helped me.

    Check if database exists

one simple way is to use 'On error resume next' ahead of the kill() command. If the file exists, it will be deleted. If the file does not exist, it will skip the kill() command without giving an error message. This may not be the best solution, but it will work.
