This sample database shows how you can display an image without storing the image in the database, simply by storing the path and the name of the file, therefore allowing you to store an unlimited number of images.
Also included are a few sample files to try this out.
The reason that this is not working is that on your Add Record Event, you first of all call the macro New record and in the event procedure you have DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec
Remove the reference to the macro

You're not raining on my parade at all. This utility was written some 20 years ago while beta testing Access 1.0 & 1.1. This bit of code has been posted a few times over the years so I guess someone picked it up.
But then again the version available from this site is priced right...
