    Question about reciprocal combo boxes

I've got a form with two combo boxes. I know how to limit the second box to show items based on what was picked in the first combo box. Here's my question: Can the two combo picks be reversed while still leaving the pick abilities originally intended? Example: I pick an item from combo 1...

Instructions / Advice About Security Setup

Does anyone know if there is a site or a thread that provides simpler instructions for setting up and using security on an Access application? I've read Microsoft's items, but can't really decipher them! I think my problem is conceptual on my part. I've set up a test mdw, and set up user /...

    Creating Diaries/journal in Access?

And for what it's worth....that's what we're looking for at my client's site. Something that provides scheduling ability for multiple people on possibly multiple tasks at multiple sites. I too don't agree with anything discussed but don't think my clients would want the Outlook / Calendar...

    Creating Diaries/journal in Access?

Not really sure..... I would think that is what's done, but only having Acc 97.... there also might be a few compatability issues (i.e., ocx's, etc). Most likely would have to tackle those as they show up. Meanwhile, I guess what could be done is if / when you make something in 2000, also...

    Creating Diaries/journal in Access?

For what it's worth I found a code sample on this forum that produces a Gantt-chart type report and have tied it to my "activity" table. Enclose you'll see a screen shot of it. It might be something we could use. Incidentally, as I said, I did find the code on this forum, but for the life of...

    Creating Diaries/journal in Access?

Sound interesting! That sounds like a great idea, especially where there seems to be a strong interest for such a concept! How might we go about it? Will we offer our ideas and code? And forms? I'm willing! Plus, keep in mind there is still a large Access 97 community that would need to be...

    Creating Diaries/journal in Access?

No.... we don't have anythng newer here than good old Access 97. I think I might try taking home a copy of the application, since I have Access 2000 at home, as well as Access 97. Thank you for the suggestion! And thanks for the offer to keep on trying! :)

    Creating Diaries/journal in Access?

Hello, Pat, and thanks for replying! Yup, Access 97 is old.... however, the client I work for likes it and has no plans for later and greater versions. Concerning the flexgrid .ocx, I believe I registered it correctly (and didn't copy it from any other database). I first did a search to...

    Access 2000 Calendar Report

Don't know if this will help....... Pat Hartman created a calendar style report, which is "fueld by several crosstab queries.
