I've got a form with two combo boxes. I know how to limit the second box to show items based on what was picked in the first combo box. Here's my question: Can the two combo picks be reversed while still leaving the pick abilities originally intended? Example: I pick an item from combo 1, and then combo 2 show items related to combo 1. However, suppose I don't know what I'm looking for in combo 1. Can I use combo 2, pick something from there, and have its related items show in combo 1?

My users are interested in this...one said, "Suppose I don't know the company that supplies widgets, but I know the widget I want. After I pick the widget, I want to know what company supplies it. But then, there'll be times when I know the company, but don't know the widget."

Thanks

Oh, I completely agree with having a re-think, but you know how users can sometimes be. Thanks for your reply and thanks for pointing me to that secondary link! Sometimes a search on a forum can be frustrating, but you helped save me several hours.

I'm going to take a look at the sampple you pointed me to. Even if it doesn't work, I appreciate your help.

Hello once more.... when I unzipped the referred file and tried running it in Access 97, I got the following message:

"Microsoft Access can't open the form 'FrmCompanies. It contains data that Microsoft Access doesn't recognize. Recreate the form."

Can you hopefully shed light on why I might get that error?

Thanks!
