Hi
A client has recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2010 and I am struggling to get an auto-mail routine to work that worked in 2000.
A scheduled task runs during the evening running the following code from an Access database.
Public Function MailStockOut()
Dim objOutlook As...
This is an old story but still makes me smile. I got this from a Computer magazine ages ago (pre-internet) - think it was Computer Weekly? Readers were askes to send in help desk stories.
Help Desk : Can I help?
Caller: Yes, I'm having a problem with one of my floppy disks.
Help Desk: What...
I heard Baker too. We were talking in the pub last night and sort of agreed with him. England start playing well and then get knocked out by either (a) cheating - Maradonna hand ball / opposition getting our best player sent off or (b) penalties.
If a match goes to penalties I don't think I...
And, on paper, have an easier route to the semi-finals that England - if they beat Ghana they play either Uruguay or South Korea. England have to beat Germany then probably Argentina.
USA England final?
Thanks for info. The night cruise sounds cool. ESPN-Zone looks pretty near. Despite Col's 'jokey' comment 'ground zero' it is a place they all want to visit.
My wife is jetting off to New York for 4 days next Friday with her sisters and mother. Anyone got any tips on things to do and see?
I think they are going to see the Empire State Building and the statue of Liberty so far. They are staying at the Edison Hotel, 228 West 47th Street, Between 8th...
Try the following on the on click event of your button.
strSearch = Replace(Me.lcus_postcode, " ", "+")
Application.FollowHyperlink "http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=" & strSearch & "&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=addr"
replace Me.cus_postcode with Me.your postcode control name
If you are using Window Scheduled Tasks you can use '/compact' after setting the 'Run' option to open your database.
E.g.
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Folder\dbname.mdb" /compact
Thanks for input JR - finally managed to sort it. You need to reference the parent form so
Forms!Frm01PGList!Frm01FCData.SetFocus
Forms!Frm01PGList!Frm01FCData!stck_stkno.SetFocusWorks!!
Yes. If I don't return the focus to the parent form then the code works fine to find the last product after the requery. This is fine if working on the first item in the main form - but if working on another item in the main form further down the list after the requery it returns to to the...
Hi,
I have a problem returning to a record in a sub form. A user enters data in a subform Frm01FCData which has 12 periods - see attached screen dump. After a value has been entered the following After Update event is run to keep the PGroup value and the Product value so that after the...
Sounds like you need to split your database. Have a look here -

or search this forum - there are plenty of threads relating to this.
I am not familiar with date picker but this works with text box controls.
Set the control source of StartDTPicker to ="01/" & Format(Now(),"mm/yyyy")
and EndDTPicker to =DateAdd("m",+1,[StartDTPicker])-1
I'd be interested to know if it works.
